Welcome to second module of InfoReady where we will explore the literacies related to misinformation, disinformation mal-information and fake news. In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the ability to navigate, evaluate, and utilize information effectively has become more critical than ever before. The course we’re about to start focusses on the multifaceted realm of literacy in the modern age, encompassing information literacy, media literacy, digital literacy, and data literacy. Information Literacy, our first topic, equips learners with the skills to seek out, critically evaluate, and ethically utilize information from various sources. Media Literacy expands upon this foundation, enabling individuals to dissect media messages, understand the influence of media ownership, and recognize how media shapes public perception.
